Can't Wait for School!

Okay, so this picture doesn't have anything to do with school, but Daddy, Cole and I all took a bath together the other day. Cole thought it was a good time to practice his bull-fighting technique. Oh-lay!

I was drawing yesterday and Mama thought it was cute how delicately I was holding onto my pencil. It looks like I'm ready for school! I've been doing a good job counting. I can count all the way up to 13 now! (I have trouble remembering 11 though, but I've got some time to work on it.)

The other night I was trying to sing myself to sleep. Mama and Daddy heard "W, X, Y and Z" about 20 times and I also sang Barney's song but put my own twist on it. It was "I love you, I love me" over and over again. Hopefully my self-confidence doesn't get out of control!

My Handsome Brother

What a handsome little brother I have! He's very smiley these days and will coo when I talk to him.

The Mushroom Festival

On Saturday, we all went up to the famed Mushroom Festival and I got to go to my first parade! It was so much fun and was such a beautiful day. My favorite things were the bands and the candy!

Here I am watching a clown on a silly little vehicle that had bubbles come out of the back!

Admiring my sucker that someone threw to me. Can you believe it? People throw candy at you! How great is that?

Aunt Susie taught me the ins and outs of candy grabbing...and let me tell you that she was a GREAT teacher! Pretty soon I was running into the street to pick up as much as my little hands would carry. I did share with some of the kids next to me though that weren't as good as I was as spotting the goods! I had a bundle when I was all done...better than Halloween! After the parade, we went to the carnival where I rode the merry-go-round with Amma. I did sit on the horse for awhile and then just wanted to get off. It was lots of fun to go round and round. Daddy took me down the BIG slide, too, but I didn't have as much fun on that. It was just a little too big for me.

Cole's First Bath

Now that Cole finally lost his umbilical cord, he could finally take a "real" bath. We weren't too sure how much he would like it, but he did seem to enjoy himself! He had a cute little grin on his face when we put him in the warm water. I can't wait until we can have fun and splash each other in the big bathtub!

World Record

I think Cole must have set a world record for the longest time it has taken to lose his umbilical cord. It FINALLY fell off this morning. Yes, it took almost 6 weeks for the bugger to go away! Weird! I guess he was too attached to it...ha-ha!
